Two individuals are now facing charges in connection with a suitcase robbery where a suspected pepper spray resulted in harm at London's Heathrow Airport.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, are accused of two robbery charges and charges for using a harmful chemical, as confirmed by court officials.

The charges follow an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal Three on the weekend. Before the assault occurred, two female travelers had their suitcases stolen after exiting a car park lift, according to law enforcement.

A young child was caught up in the incident in the event. Five people were taken to a medical facility and were eventually allowed to go home.

The incident – which authorities stated was a standalone event and not considered a terror-related act – led to train delays and the temporary blocking of the main airport road tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
