The President Invites Families of Injured Guard Soldiers to the Presidential Residence
Former President Trump announced on the weekend that he has extended an invitation the loved ones of a National Guard member tragically killed last week to come to the executive mansion.
He mentioned that he spoke to her parents and they were “deeply grieving”.

Specialist Beckstrom, 20, was killed in a violent incident on Wednesday in DC.
Her fellow service member, Andrew Wolfe, twenty-four years old, remains hospitalized in grave state.

The commander-in-chief stated he’s talked about a White House visit for the families of both members of the West Virginia Guard.
“I told them: ‘When you’re ready, because that’s a difficult moment, visit the White House. We’re going to pay tribute to her,” the president told the press. “And likewise with Andrew, recover or not.”

Mourners gathered over the past few days at the high school in West Virginia to pay respects to Sarah.
Both she and Wolfe had been working with the West Virginia National Guard as part of Trump’s government program to assist law enforcement in Washington DC.

“Sarah was the kind of student that instructors wished for. She conducted herself with quiet strength, a contagious smile and a upbeat demeanor that inspired those around her,” Jarrod Hankins, the leader of Beckstrom’s previous school, stated to the press. “She was caring, compassionate and always eager to support those in need.”
Service arrangements for Beckstrom are still being arranged.

Authorities have accused a 29-year-old suspect with a charge of murder and charges of violent assault while armed.
The tragedy caused the Trump administration to halt asylum applications and cease issuing entry permits to owners of passports from Afghanistan.

The airman, a resident of Martinsburg, started his military career in early 2019 and is a 2019 graduate of Musselman High, according to the AP.
