Close to 90 Flights Linked to Jeffrey Epstein Reportedly Came to or from UK Airports
An investigation has identified that close to 90 flights connected to Jeffrey Epstein allegedly arrived at and departed from UK airports, with some reportedly carrying women from the UK who allege they were abused by the convicted child sex offender.
Aviation Records Reveal Pattern of Movement
The travel manifests were part of thousands of legal papers and papers released by Epstein’s estate that have been disclosed over the last year. The review uncovered 87 flights tied to Epstein – featuring many that were not previously known – coming into or leaving from British airfields between the start of the 1990s and 2018.
Passenger Details and Post-Conviction Travel
Unnamed women were recorded among the travelers flying to and from the UK. Significantly, 15 of these UK flights took place subsequent to Epstein’s 2008 guilty verdict for soliciting sex from a child.
“It was ‘shocking’ that there had never been a ‘thorough probe in the UK’ into his activities in the country,” remarked American attorneys representing numerous Epstein victims.
UK Survivors and Court Cases
Testimony from one of the British victims aided the conviction of Epstein’s associate socialite Ghislaine Maxwell of sex trafficking of minors in the US in 2021. However, that survivor has never been contacted by police in the UK, as stated by her Florida-based lawyer.
In a statement, the Metropolitan police said they had “not received any further information that would support restarting the probe.” They noted, “If fresh and pertinent evidence be presented to us, including any arising from the disclosure of documents in the US, we will evaluate it.”
Continuing Disclosure and Judicial Decisions
Proposed legislation to make public all files held by the US government in regarding Epstein was approved by the House and Senate last month. The Department of Justice has until 19 December to comply. A vast number of documents are expected to be made public.
Separately, a federal judge ordered last week that the department could disclose investigative materials from a sex-trafficking case against Maxwell, Epstein’s close friend, who is serving a 20-year prison sentence over the allegations.
