Barça Ready for First Match at Partially Completed Camp Nou over the weekend
The club confirmed they are set to host at the partially upgraded Camp Nou over the weekend. Athletic Bilbao will visit Athletic Bilbao in domestic competition over two years since relocating for construction to commence.
“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Attendance will be limited though over 45,000 attendees are permitted inside based on approved permits. Once fully finished, it will accommodate almost 105,000 spectators, increasing from the former 99,000. Barça announced recent additions comprise an updated entryway for the team plus modern locker rooms.
Stadium Testing
The club conducted a fan-accessible workout at the Camp Nou on 7 November. The club said they are seeking authorization from Uefa to play their next home Champions League game against Eintracht Frankfurt in December in the renovated venue. Their recent games have been held in the temporary ground.
