Aircraft Carrying US Defense Secretary Required to Touch Down in UK Due to Crack in Cockpit Window
A plane ferrying Pete Hegseth was required to make an unplanned landing in the Britain on Wednesday following a fracture was found in the plane's windshield, according to an announcement which confirmed that all passengers were secure.
"The aircraft landed based on established safety measures and everyone onboard, such as Secretary Hegseth, is unharmed," a spokesperson commented in a public statement.
Hegseth was returning from a quick journey to the Belgian capital when the incident occurred.
This event isn't the initial instance that a United States armed forces jet ferrying a top government figure has experienced technical problems.
In a previous incident this year, a US Air Force plane transporting Secretary of State Marco Rubio to the German city of Munich was compelled to turn back to Washington DC after experiencing a technical issue.
